The Shepparton-trainer rarely ventures to the Albury Paceway but landed her first cup victory when the Jackson Panting-driven four-year-old scored an impressive win.
Starting from gate three, race favourite Shelby Bromac worked to sit outside the leader.
The two favoued runners controlled the race from that point and, with 400m metres to run, set down for a titanic battle.
In a frenetic finish, The Crimson Prince proved too strong to win by one-and-a-half-metres from Shelby Bromac.
Local hope Carla Clare ran her usual honest race to finish third
Winning trainer Panting was rapt to pick up a drive for the Turnbull stable.
"I rarely drive for Amanda so to land a winner for her is a huge thrill,' a delighted Panting said.
