Souquet has been on the sidelines since early November nursing a fractured wrist suffered in a barrier trial mishap at Tatura.
The talented hoop made a low-key return at Tumut's non-TAB meeting last Saturday.
He finished outside the placings from three rides at the Tumut Cup meeting.

Souquet said he was glad to be back riding after three months on the sidelines after the fracture took longer to heal than anticipated.
"It was good to get back into the swing of things at Tumut," Souquet said.
"My wrist felt OK and I'll be better for the hitout.
"I've been working fairly hard on my fitness while I have been on the sidelines.
"My wrist was a bit sore the next day but the specialist said that was to be expected."
Souquet is hopeful of securing several mounts at the Country Championship Qualifier meeting at Albury.
