A truck driver was fined more than $1000 after police allegedly caught him travelling more than 20 km/h over the restricted speed limit in Bowna on Tuesday.

About 11am on Tuesday police were conducting stationary speed enforcement on traffic travelling south on the Hume Highway, Bowna near Bowna Road.
Police will allege a Western Star B-Double combination truck with Victorian Registration driven by a 52yo male from Rosewood, QLD was detected travelling at 121km/h whilst special speed restricted to 100km/h for vehicles over 4.5T GVM.
The driver was stopped and subjected to a breath test returning a negative result.
