"And that's really failed miserably at this stage, no leads," the king admitted.
But not all was lost as the costumed pair attracted plenty of sideways glances from those not expecting to meet royalty while out shopping.

King Arthur and Patsy, also known as Barry McIntosh and Mitch Clarke, paraded the streets to promote Monty Python's Spamalot, a show by Border company Livid Productions at Albury Entertainment Centre next month.
The actors discovered several Python fans in their travels, judging by the mentions of shrubberies and the Lady of the Lake.
They also encountered "occasionally stunned silence", "a raise of the eyebrow" and "a bit of guffawing, of course".
Patsy accompanied his king with the coconut shells well known to denote horse riding.
"You've got to think about the patterns, get the triplets in there, make sure they're nice and sharp," he explained.
"As soon as you do that, you bang 'em together and it echoes across the city."
