POOL Pirates scored their biggest win over Albury Tigers this season when they ran-out comfortable 11-2 victors in their Ovens and Murray A grade men's clash at Wodonga on Sunday.

The win was set up early with promising youngster Will Murphy in the thick of the action from the outset.
Goalkeeper Steve Sloan and Grant Meredith also impressed for the victors.
"We got away to a good start and felt pretty comfortable," Pool Pirates' Matt O'Connell said.
Albury goalkeeper Dom Bertazzo was rock solid in defence while Jimmy Scannell did a power of work under pressure.
The victory has guaranteed Pool Pirates third spot on the ladder with Sharks and Northside holding the top two spots.
Sharks accounted for Northside 11-6.
Taylor Miller and Henry Clark stood out for the victors while Northside were bolstered by the return of Andrew McAulay to the A grade side.
In the women, Sharks continued their fine season in the tri-towns women's water polo series at Wagga on Saturday.
They defeated Wagga 11-4 and Tuggeranong 13-6 with their depth proving too much for the opposition.
Albury Tigers edged out Tuggeranong 7-5 and Ainslie 9-5.
Pool Pirates also came away with a clean sweep, defeating Tuggeranong 9-6, Ainslie 11-4 and Wagga 9-8.
Only three home and away rounds remain before the finals.
