"I just think that the personalities that are involved, it is unfortunately going to be super-competitive," Georgie Bruce said.
The Corowa-Rutherglen netball coach has joined with Wodonga detective Graeme Simpfendorfer to organise the Border Sports Stars vs Police contest, which will raise money for Stars of the Border Dance for Cancer.
Georgie's squad of 10 includes footballer Dean Polo, cricket identities Robbie Mackinlay and Daryl Tuffey and former Bandits captain Jack Duck.
"There's a lot of skill - whether it's for basketball, I'm not sure, but it will be competitive," Georgie said.
"It will be funny, that's for sure, there will be some ditzy moments, I am guaranteed to give one of those."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Graeme seemed resigned to defeat already, despite many police volunteers.
"We've had to tell everyone the team's full now, then I had to pick out who can actually play, because (Georgie's) guys can," he said.
"The only hope I've got, I think, is the referee's a policeman."
The night at Lauren Jackson Sports Centre starts from 5.30pm and will also include shoot-out competitions and zumba.
