Albury has strengthened its GWS connection by snaring a South Coast star.
Jai Reed will move to the Border on Sunday and live with fellow Giants' products Jacob and Lucas Conlan (Griffith).
The 20-year-old has divided his time between his home club Narooma and GWS in recent years.
"It's hard switching between the two leagues, the NEAFL is a pretty high standard and then the SCAFL (South Coast Australian Football League) isn't as high," he said.
"It will be good to get to know the league (O and M) and see if I enjoy it and see if I want to stay there for a couple of years."
Reed was a forward in his teenage years but has largely spent the past two years in defence.
He's known as a strong mark and good kick, off either foot.
Reed has another Albury link after playing juniors with Tom O'Brien and Ben Kelly.
He played three NEAFL games last season, but was injured as a top-up player.
"The biggest thing was probably the continuous week-in, week-out routine without being injured," he said.
"I got a couple of injuries, so the consistent footy was hard for me.

"You had to get with the standard or you weren't going to get picked, so it was grind time or no time I guess."
It continues the Tigers' lower-profile signings.
Albury went out in straight sets after contesting a State-equalling 10 straight grand finals, winning seven.
