Di Wurtz led her team to a four sets to two victory over Spencer, with Sandy van der Stadt best for her side.
In section two, Mills claimed the final two rubbers to take the points from Quirk.
Karen Mills, Janny Molesworth, Jenny Clark and Anthea Dunlop all played a role.
Caroline Staughton finished the morning unbeaten in her side's triumph over Lee, with Kate Horsfall snaring two sets.

In the only match in section three, Huckstepp was too strong for Cannon.
The next North East Veterans event will be held at Corowa this Sunday, with registrations and morning tea from 9am.
Cost is $25 per person.
Thurgoona will host a junior Sportspower tournament on Sunday for ages eight to 16.
