Established in 1994, CLASS Training has seen a number of changes over the years in the way Information Technology (IT) has changed, specifically how IT apps are used and in the delivery of training. "Gone almost are the days where you need to install the latest versions of software to make sure you're up to date," CLASS Training director Mark Mannering said. "Most apps now are accessed via a web browser from the cloud, so there's no need to update your software or even back up your data. "However, many people are uncomfortable with the idea of not backing up data, and along with the unreliability of their internet connection, still opt for using software installed on their PC or laptop." The biggest changes have been seen in accounting and business management apps. He said these apps connect to your bank so that reconciliation of bank transactions could be done each day, rather than previously at the end of a week or month. "Apps on your mobile devices can also access your accounting apps from out in the field, and this can be a huge time-saver in having your data up to date," he said. "The biggest mistake people can make that CLASS Training has seen over the years is the approach that they can firstly choose a particular app for their business, and then work with it and try and adapt it to their business. CLASS Training advises people to first determine, without any app in mind, how or what they want to manage with their business."
