EARLIER: A BOAT belonging to Supercars champion Mark Winterbottom is one of two stolen from Bundalong this week.
Cobram police believe the thefts from nearby homes are related.
Winterbottom's 2018 Malibu Wakesetter was stolen between 10am and 1pm on Tuesday, while the other theft, involving the same model of boat, occurred between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
Detective Senior-Constable James Howarth said each boat was worth about $140,000, with another two Malibu Wakesetters pinched from properties in nearby Mulwala on January 27.
The Bundalong boats were taken on their trailers.
Winterbottom issued an appeal for help through Facebook, stating the boat had been seen in the early hours of Wednesday being towed by a dual cab on the Numurkah-Katamatite Road.
Senior-Constable Howarth warned holiday home owners to secure their boats and urged anyone with information to phone police on (03) 5871 1977.
