While Cassar played most of last season in the Pigeons' B-grade side, the talented shooter was called upon by A-grade during finals.
The club stalwart took out the league's Hotshot award for B-grade last year, maintaining a shooting average of 82 per cent while racking up 614 goals.
Yarrawonga has also lost fellow shooter Indiana Frauenfelder to Murray league club Mulwala, but receives a huge boost with the inclusion of former Lavington star Sarah Senini.

Yarrawonga coach Tracy Gillies admitted losing Cassar for the season was a blow.
"Bridget leaves a huge hole in our club, not only from a playing perspective, but for all the work she does and has done for the last 10 years," Gillies said.
"She's been inspirational and a big reason why the club has been so successful.
"We're very fortunate that we've gained Sarah.
"We've had some pretty strong goalers right throughout all of our grades.
"It just opens up and creates some opportunities for others."
Cassar, also a former coach, started out as a junior at Yarrawonga and has played through much of the club's premiership success.
Following the year off, Cassar is likely to return to the court again in 2021.
Yarrawonga has picked up several new players ahead of the O and M season, including Barooga sisters Sharni and Taylah Hazelman.
