Wangaratta mayor Dean Rees said the nine organisations who supported council to manage the two Wangaratta relief centres each received free tickets to the event in recognition of their hard work.

"Securing Nitro Circus is a fantastic opportunity for the community to attend something spectacular but it will also provide an economic boost to the region, which supports some of the grassroots campaigns to bring people back to the North East after the fires," he said.
