ALBURY has landed a huge coup on the eve of the season by signing former Melbourne and Carlton forward Jeff Garlett.
After being bombarded by offers, Garlett, 30, committed to the Tigers with his links to Albury premiership star Daniel Cross believed to be crucial to his decision.
Garlett played 107 matches for Carlton and 78 for Melbourne before being delisted by the Demons at the end of last season.
MORE OVENS AND MURRAY NEWS:
Tiger members were notified of Garlett's signing on Thursday night.
Originally from Swan Districts, Garlett topped Carlton's goalkicking in 2013 and Melbourne's in 2017.
He is presently playing for Northern Territory club Southern Districts.
