Despite Dederang getting the better of Yackandandah on two separate occasions this season, Dederang skipper Andrew Creamer admits anything could happen when the two sides meet in the preliminary final this weekend.
"We've played alright against them, but finals are a different game, anything can happen," Creamer said.
"We've just been trying to work on all round even contributions from all of the boys, that's what makes a good side.
"That's what we're aiming for."
The game is scheduled to be played at Dederang, but with recent rain falling across the region, could be relocated to Kiewa.
"It'll be interesting with the weather around, but we'll see what happens," Creamer said.
Dederang will head into the clash with the same side they took into the semi-final against Eskdale, while Yackandandah are also unchanged.
Captain Bailey Glass admits the side is lucky to have the double chance after going down to Kiewa in their semi-final last weekend.
"Obviously to give up top position last week was disappointing, but it's a bonus to have the second chance and have another crack at it," Glass said.
"We've played them twice and they've beaten us twice, so it'd be a good time to knock them off if we can."
Kiewa and Corowa will also play-off for a spot in the final this weekend at Corowa.
Kiewa skipper Josh Bartel admits the home side pose as a huge finals threat.
"They're obviously one of the top teams," Bartel said.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"We have to play our absolute best to beat them and we'll absolutely deserve to be in the grand final if we do beat them.
"We've always had good matches against Corowa."
The visitors have no changes to their team, with bowler Scott Goodwin heading into the clash having taken a huge six wickets against Yackandandah last weekend.
Corowa have also kept their winning formula from last weekend heading into the match at Ball Park.
The two times Kiewa and Corowa have faced off this season have been split, with Kiewa winning the first and Corowa taking the second.
Skipper Daniel Athanitis said the opposing side is definitely one to watch as the competition looks to be cut back to two.
"I think they're probably the best team all round in it so we'll be up against it, but hopefully we'll be right."
Both of the preliminary final games will take place on Saturday, kicking off for a 1pm start.
