Although there have been 20 people tested for COVID-19 in the Riverina, Murrumbidgee health district said there had not been any confirmed cases of the virus across the health district.
Rural Doctors Association of Australia president John Hall is asking the public to remain calm and listen to advice given to help stop the spread of the virus.
And he is discouraging panic-buyers from stockpiling toilet paper.

"Whatever happens, stockpiling dunny roll is unlikely to be of any real benefit in the case of an outbreak," he said.
"If you feel unwell and are coughing and sniffing, then the most likely outcome is that you just have a regular, but still unpleasant, cold or flu.
"The best way of reducing your exposure is to practice good hand hygiene and minimise contact."
