James Crealy will now face sentence in the District Court in Albury after his lawyer and the Director of Public Prosecutions' office agreed on a set of facts.
The teenager from Adelong was facing a single charge of robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Albury Local Court was told on Tuesday that Crealy, 19, called out "I'm sorry" on his way out of the Mobile service station after he and his accomplice terrified a night-shift worker with knives.
"We don't want to hurt you," he told the woman behind the counter, "but we want the money."
The attendant responded by putting her hands up and stepping backwards.
"We want the money, give us the money," Crealy said.
At one point that night - he and the other teenager entered the Honour Avenue business in the early hours of August 10 - Crealy saw the woman's handbag on the counter.
Crealy looked in the bag, but the victim wasn't going to let him target her as well.
"Come on mate," she said, "that's mine. Don't do that to me. I've done everything you have asked of me."
RELATED:
Crealy left the bag, walked over to a cigarette cupboard, grabbed packets of tobacco and then fled the service station.
The last thing he said was: "I'm sorry, we needed the money."
The DPP facts outlined how the victim was standing behind her counter during her 12am to 6am shift when, about 1.15am, she saw Crealy and his accomplice walk past a side window, heading towards the front of the shop.
Both were wearing hooded jumpers and dark clothes, their faces covered by scarves and each wearing gloves.
She thought this strange and so wrote down the time.
The pair then entered the service station and went straight to the counter.
The accomplice was armed with a white-handled kitchen knife, while Crealy had a wooden-handled kitchen knife in his right hand.
Crealy held this in front of his stomach and chest area so she could see the weapon.
He then made his demands for cash from the till.
The haul comprised $1200 cash, 35 packets of cigarettes valued at $1641.65 and 39 packets of tobacco at $1528.61.
Crealy was arrested at a Corowa house four days later, with some of the haul inside.
His case will be mentioned in the District Court on March 27.
