Italian actress, singer and cook Silvia Colloca will bring all of her creative talents to Opera in the Alps. Mezzo-soprano Colloca will join guests at the inaugural Opera Feast ahead of the concert. Prepared by Beechworth chef Sally Lynch, the four-course meal will include an Italian dessert and canape chosen by Colloca, well known to SBS viewers for Made in Italy and Cook Like An Italian. The 24th annual event also features baritone Sam Dundas and international didgeridoo player William Barton. They will be joined on stage by aspiring young singers from Opera Scholars Australia and the full Symphony Australis orchestra.

With a cast of 40 under the direction of David Todd, an orchestra of 18 under the direction of Damien Jones and a behind the scenes crew of about 15, Spamalot retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.

Fire came within metres of destroying Cudgewa's football clubrooms on New Year's Eve. Now the Blues' home ground will host a charity match between the Upper Murray Legends and the Celebrity All Stars to raise money for those affected by the disaster. There will be a battle between the Hume and Tallangatta league premiers - Osborne and Thurgoona - along with a junior football clinic featuring North East-raised AFL players.
