It is hoped the "Footy for Fires" charity day will raise more than $50,000 for bushfire victims in the region.
Organiser Ben Hollands described the crowd that packed full the ground at Cudgewa as unreal - similar to that of an Ovens and Murray grand final.
"This has been as good as we could have hoped for," he said.
There were no injuries, but reportedly a few bruised ego, when the Upper Murray legends beat the celebrity all stars in the first game, before Thurgoona and Osborne played in the battle of the premiers.
The money will be put towards grants for residents through the Upper Murray Innovation Foundation and the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
"All the money stays in the Upper Murray. The purpose of the fund is the support communities and people that have been affected," Mr Hollands said.
