Boom recruit Jydon Neagle took his game to another level with a four-goal haul.
"We played him at full-forward simply because Connor (Newnham) wasn't there, we didn't put him through the midfield this week but that's where we probably look like starting him in round three when he's available," coach Jarrod Hodgkin said.
"He's been good (through the first two practice games), but he was really good, back to where he dominated."
Neagle is only available to face Yarrawonga on the Easter weekend as he serves out a two-match ban from his stint with SANFL club Central District.
The ACT club provided a fierce final practice game for Raiders, who were missing up to nine regular senior players, including defender Daniel Bowles and ruckman Brodie A'Vard.
Steve Jolliffe also produced his best pre-season form in the midfield.
Raiders tallied an impressive pre-season following wins over North Albury and Shepparton United.
Albury smashed Shepparton Bears in the second half in snaring a 12.8 (80) to 3.3 (21) away win.
It was tight at half-time after the teams kicked with the aid of a six-goal breeze, but the Tigers blew the match apart with 10 majors.
Midfielder Eddy Ziebarth made the most of his opportunities, fellow on-baller Jake Gaynor racked up possessions, Mitch Scott played forward, while Riley Bice did well on a wing.
Like most clubs, Albury was missing a host of players, including Alex Jones and Jim Grills.
Yarrawonga toppled Echuca by 11 points.
Veteran Xavier Leslie was outstanding, Damon Symes had a strong game in the ruck, while gun recruits Willie Wheeler and Leigh Masters also showed why they will be so valuable to the Pigeons.

Oscar Willding landed six goals, with Kade Mimmo, Josh Mathey and Ollie Greenhill also in fine form.
North Albury fell to Tatura by 25 points with Callum Pattinson, Eamon Gilbert and Jack Penny the pick.
Elsewhere, Wangaratta Rovers defeated Mooroopna by 91 points, while Wangaratta fell to Benalla by four goals.
