Chryslers on the Murray also raised $14,500 for Kiewa, Bonegilla and Thurgoona fire brigades through its gate takings and donations.
Co-ordinator Rod Taylor said pre-entries alone had been up by 135.
"It's gone crazy," he said on Sunday.
"By 12 o'clock Saturday we'd already broken our record of 855.
"We're struggling for room. It's a good problem to have."
Mr Taylor said organisers would consult with Wodonga Council about possible changes for 2021.
"Next year's the 50th anniversary of the Charger and that's going to be - I've been saying 1000 but I'm going to change it to 1100 cars next year - that's going to be massive," he said.

Owners from throughout Australia brought Chryslers dating from 1924 through to the present day.
"They've driven from Western Australia, they've put the cars on a ship and brought them up from Tasmania, they've come down from northern Queensland, they come from all over," Mr Taylor said.

Leanne and Michael Collicoat, of Maryborough, Victoria, have attended Chryslers on the Murray for 27 years.
Mrs Collicoat brought her pink 1970 Plymouth barracuda convertible, restored over 10 years by her husband.
Originally olive green and "pretty ordinary", the car was "found under a tree in a paddock in Texas".
"It's a nice car to drive, it just purrs along the road nicely," Mrs Collicoat said.
The Collicoats had no hesitation about attending this year's show, despite the coronavirus situation.
"We would have been disappointed if it didn't go ahead," Mrs Collicoat said.
"It's always a great weekend; we've been blessed with the weather.
"We'll continue to come as long as the show's running."
