A plan to demolish the pub and build a four-level apartments building on the site was revealed in January by one of the new part-owners, David Baird.
Former O'Maille's signage has also been removed from the pub which began its life as the Railway Hotel when constructed in 1859 before later becoming the Murray River Hotel.
The new owners had hoped to start work on the apartments mid-year, but Wodonga Council confirmed no planning application had been received to date.
The hotel was built by James Bambrick, who later served three terms as Wodonga Council president with well-known Wodonga publican Jack Perry owning the Blazing Stump and Railway hotels simultaneously.
