Albury Newsagency owner Bernard Harrison said magazines could be delivered to people's homes.

Mr Harrison said in view of the public health advice related to the COVID-19 pandemic, people were staying close to home.

"People are going to be confined to their homes more and especially the older members of the community," he said.

"Let's provide them with another outlet through magazines; we've got a great range of magazines at Albury Newsagency."

Having taken over the business six weeks ago, Mr Harrison said they delivered newspapers to about 300 clients in the Albury and East Albury regions.

He said those subscribers could simply contact the business to add magazines to their order.

"Obviously there'd be a small delivery cost if you're not already a subscriber," Mr Harrison said.

Becker's Newsagency owner David Becker said they were happy to deliver magazines to people who were staying home.

Mr Becker said their delivery area included Monument Hill, West Albury and South Albury.

"We already deliver magazines to a few people but we'd be happy to see people take up this idea," he said.

"They only need to contact the shop to arrange it."

Other Border outlets including North Albury Newsagency also offer magazine delivery.
