Senator Rex Patrick's positive COVID-19 result continues.
A number of civic dignatoaries, including Mayor McLaughlin, Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey and Member for Giles Eddie Hughes - all came into contact with Senator Patrick at the Whyalla Airport on Saturday, March 14.
On the day the topic of discussion was the federal government's plans to install security screening at regional airports and the significant costs it would impose on councils.
It was later discovered that Liberal Senator Andrew Bragg, a colleague Senator Patrick had been in contact before the meeting, had tested positive for COVID-19.
Senator Patrick began self-isolating before being tested on Saturday for the virus, where he returned a positive result.
Both Rowan Ramsey and Eddie Hughes have self-isolated, with Mr Hughes getting tested for COVID-19 at the Whyalla drive-through clinic.
"The directive from the Department of Treasury and Finance is to close my office at the Westland Shopping Centre," Mr Hughes said.
Mr Ramsey said the advice he had received from his GP, the COVID-19 hotline and website did not recommend that he be tested for the virus.
"I will be self isolating until 10am on Saturday unless I show symptoms," he said.
Mayor McLaughlin was tested on Friday at the Whyalla Hospital drive-through clinic and subsequently advised of her negative result on Monday, March 23.
Mr Clark will be tested and is self-isolating.
