He is heavily targeting Wodonga on Saturday with nine runners and has a further four starters at Swan Hill on Monday.
The Wodonga Cup winning trainer is also hoping his three-year-old filly Toffee Doll can gain a start a Bendigo today where she is first emergency.
Widdison said with capacity fields at Wodonga today the racing looked ultra-competitive with Regal Bellarina his best chance of snaring a winner.
Regal Bellarina has been placed in her two most recent starts at Wangaratta and Albury.
The four-year-old mare will be looking to notch her first career victory in the $23,000 3YO&Up Maiden Plate, (1300m) with Jason Baldock aboard.

Widdison conceded Regal Bellarina would need her fair share of luck to win after drawing out in the carpark in barrier 16.
"I thought her last-start performance at Albury on the opening day of the carnival was full of merit," Widdison said.
"She has drawn a bit sticky but it's not the end of the world if she gets a chance to wind-up."
