Dodd polled 36 to edge out teammate Brooke Dickie, who finished on a total of 20 votes.
The long time Shark also topped the charts in the women's A-grade goal scoring tally, racking up 84 goals.
It comes as the Sharks' women's A-grade side secured their seventh straight flag after finishing on top of the ladder undefeated, with the COVID-19 pandemic preventing the completion of finals.
Dodd said while it was great to see the side successful again this season, she admits it wasn't under the circumstances they would've liked.
"It's obviously disappointing because you still want to play and you still want to prove that you're the best team on grand final day," Dodd said.
"It's disappointing not getting that opportunity, but given everything that's going on at the moment, that's probably the least of our worries."
Dodd admitted rivals Pool Pirates looked to be their biggest competition in finals.
"They would have been disappointed not being able to challenge us, they were putting up a good fight as well," Dodd said.
"I feel for the teams that finished second and didn't get that opportunity."
Dodd said she's never seen a season end so abruptly in her time playing.
"I've never played at a time where we've had a season so disrupted," she said.
"We've missed games for various reasons with smoke and the Black Saturday bushfires, but never anything like this."

He polled 22 votes, with Northside's Tyson Mutsch hot on his heels with 19.
Sharks were also crowned the winners in the men's competition for the third time in a row.
"It would have been a lot better to play in the grand final but it wasn't to be, it's bittersweet really," Douglass said.
"Everyone will be keen to get up and running again."
Mutsch was the highest goal scorer for the men with 46.
Pool Pirates' Stephen Sloan and Eliza Carrol scored highest in the count to take out the A-grade goal keeper awards this season.
