The Bureau of Meteorology's latest forecast says between 25mm and 35mm could fall, with up to a further 10mm on Friday.
IN OTHER NEWS:
That comes on top of Sunday evening's storms followed by more steady early morning rainfall on Monday that delivered 23.4mm into the Albury-Wodonga gauge.
After what had been an extremely dry 2019, with drought conditions persisting right across the country, March has produced a marked turnaround.
Combined with falls of 82mm on March 5, a further 15.6mm the following day plus 4.8mm on the 14th, the total monthly fall as of Monday at 9am stood at 129.8mm.
This is well over double that recorded 12 months' before, with 52mm in the Albury airport gauge.
The recent rain events, with healthy totals across the region, have led to many grain farmers embarking on early sowing.
