Chairman Michael Erdeljac believes governing sporting bodies could thrash out a fixture if the coronavirus ban is lifted after May 31.
CAW has 60 grounds at its disposal in the provincial, district and hume competitions.
"CAW would be open to talking with the Ovens and Murray, Tallangatta and Hume leagues," Erdeljac said.
"I understand we were very lucky to finish 16 of our 18 cricket grand finals this year and I'm very thankful for that.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It's difficult times for everybody and we should try and hang tough together where we can.
"Personally, I know what football means to people in the country and, if we can possibly work things out together, I'm keen to do that."
Erdeljac said CAW could tinker with its draws with more Sunday and midweek Twenty20 matches obvious solutions.

He flagged later finishing dates as another option.
"There are a million little combinations we could look into," he said.
"We know football and cricket can work together ... we share a lot of facilities all year round.
"Many of the same people are involved in football and cricket clubs in small towns so it's best to work together.
"We normally don't start to the second week of October and the information I've been reading is leagues are in the process of putting together options for different scenarios.
"When that all happens, it will be time to take a closer look at everything on the table."
The Ovens and Murray has held two meetings to discuss options since the pandemic struck while the Hume and Tallangatta league are set for more discussions in the next week.
The season was scheduled to kick off last weekend.
