The council is holding a pre-meeting briefing session which will be livestreamed to the public.
On the agenda is a coronavirus response update to be provided by chief executive Frank Zaknich.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Chief financial officer Justin Finlayson is also listed to provide answers to questions and comments put by councillors on the draft budget.
Mayor Kevin Mack then told media the city would consider rate relief "in general" as part of its reaction.
The draft budget is scheduled to be presented to the council's April 27 meeting for approval.
