On Monday, the university announced it would release $200,000 in funding to support studies into the impacts on the health, well-being, business performance, communities and economy of Australia.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Heather Cavanagh said projects could be in any discipline.
She said the projects must focus on generating new knowledge on the impact of the virus on people or communities, or deliver solutions for post-COVID-19 resilience and rebuilding.

"COVID-19 represents an unprecedented health crisis," Professor Cavanagh said.
"This money will allow researchers to play an active role in ensuring the long-lasting effects of the virus are minimal and that our economy can recover."
The funding is for new projects and the chief investigator must be a current Charles Sturt University employee, however, industry and/or community partner involvement is welcome.
