It's the fourth day running with no new diagnoses across the region, and number of recovered patients has doubled overnight to 10.

One patient remains in hospital at Albury Wodonga Health, five are in self-isolation at home and four people who contracted the virus have recovered.

There were also no new cases in North East Victoria on Wednesday.

AWH executive director of people and workforce Virginia Boyd said staff across all divisions had put up their hands to work additional hours and be redeployed to areas where they are needed.

"We are really approaching this as a region and it's been great to have the support of our private health organisations during this time as well to help, to not only free up our staff but also our bed capacity," she said.

"We are seeing the curve flatten off which is a great result for Australia, we are still preparing for what potentially lies ahead, and we feel well prepared that we have the right resources, and staffing workforce for the future ahead."

Murrumbidgee's official running total of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region remains at 42.

Those aged between 20 and 29 are heavily represented in the confirmed cases, with the 14 people in that age group diagnosed making up a large proportion of the health district's official tally.

Ten COVID-19 cases have been found in Wagga, seven in Federation Shire, six in Albury, five in Berrigan, three each in Griffith and Murrumbidgee, two apiece for Greater Hume and Hilltops councils and single diagnoses in Cootamundra-Gundagai, Hay, Narrandera and Snowy Valleys local government areas.
