After originally signing with rival club Wangaratta Rovers, McIntosh recently opted to follow close friend and laconic Albury backman Nick Houston to the Tallangatta and District league.
McIntosh played two senior matches for Albury last season.
Coach Darren Holmes said McIntosh ticked all the boxes in regards to the club's recruiting strategy.
"We spoke to Ben early and he was originally thinking about the Ovens and Murray but he's decided to come back to Yackandandah which is great," Holmes said.
"He's a good kid with ability and will fit in well with our young side."

Meanwhile, AFL NEB will meet with league executives again in early May to discuss potential starting dates.
"At community level, there are many considerations when proposing a return to play position which include COVID-19 restrictions, the potential of restrictions being lifted in some capacity and the actual capacity of community sport to return," AFL NEB region manager John O'Donohue said.
