Ayesha Umar is sharing her advice about working from home in a series of webinars with the Albury Northside Chamber of Commerce.
"In our first session, everybody put into words how they felt about isolation and the difficulties they were facing; one person felt great being at home, others were feeling lonely, distracted, and distressed," she said.
"From there we talked about why people were feeling this way, and some people weren't able to do what they usually do.
"I asked if people were waking up and eating at the same time - following a routine.
"We should be taking the same coffee and lunch breaks, and finishing at the same time if we can."
Mrs Umar said other people were keeping a routine but feeling isolated.
"One person said 'I'm doing my work and getting it done, but I'm not enjoying it as much'," she said.
"For people missing their work colleagues - why not go out for a walk with a work colleague?
"Or when you're out for a walk taking a break, instead of listening to music, Face-time with your family and friends."

Mrs Umar, who is a columnist for The Border Mail and specialises in educational support for gifted school students, said people should aim to have a growth mindset during COVID-19.
"Have a schedule, set out goals that are achievable, and then reward yourself," she said.
"I started sticking yellow post-it-notes in the room with little tasks, so I could have the satisfaction of scrunching them up when I was finished.
"You have to get there somehow, and it's absolutely about schedules and having the motivation and behaviour to follow that routine.
"Half the battle is won when you're positive."
