An Albury man has pleaded guilty from jail to a series of charges including matters involving a police pursuit and deception.

Rowan Stanley Weaver fronted Albury Local Court this week via video link.
His guilty pleas, defence lawyer Bronte Winn told magistrate Richard Funston, came with the police's withdrawal of several charges.

A bail application was flagged, within the context of Weaver having been assaulted in jail, resulting in the need for sutures.
One of the charge sequences for which he admitted his guilt involves matters of driving while disqualified, police pursuit, dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception and driving a conveyance taken by someone else without the permission of the owner.
But Weaver, 30, maintains a plea of not guilty to an unrelated charge of assault police and two of resist police.
One of the other charges to which he has pleaded guilty is not complying with a police direction.
All charges were adjourned to a later date.
