Senior Constable Mark Richardson said around 3pm on Wednesday, April 22 a man, captured on CCTV footage, used the counterfeit $50 note at the Wodonga store.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The male has purchased a small item for $5 and then received $45 in change," he said.
"The male is wanted for questioning in relation to obtain property by deception and utter counterfeit money.
"I am seeking help from members of the public to help identify the male."
Police released two images of the man and asked the public to come forward if they recognise him.
