Lord Von Costa was set to resume in the Wagga Town Plate earlier this month but was scratched due to the heavy track.
The talented seven-year-old won a trial at Albury last Friday in preparation for Saturday's assignment down the famous Flemington straight.
"I had set him for the Wagga Town Plate but that didn't eventuate unfortunately," Scott said.
"It would have been nice to have a run under his belt before Flemington but he is a hard horse to place.
"Other than that I'm happy with where he is at and looking forward to see what he can do fresh."
Lord Von Costa was a winner down the Flemington straight last preparation before heading for a spell.
"He won his trial on Friday but is one of those horses who doesn't do anymore than he has to," she said.
