A Rural Fire Service volunteer who helped train hundreds of other firefighters will be laid to rest on Thursday.

Peter Farry joined the Lavington fire brigade in 1994 and immediately started to train others.
He passed away last Thursday and a small funeral service will be held on Thursday afternoon.
IN OTHER NEWS:
An RFS spokesman said he would be missed.
"Peter will be remembered as a mentor, a pioneer and his drive and passion will be missed by his RFS family," the spokesman said.
"We will continue with his legacy and make sure his goal of snakes and ladders being played across Australia is continued."
