The fallout from the financial collapse of a contractor which carried out early works on the Lavington Sportsground redevelopment is not expected to be finalised until the second half of 2020.
Depan Group was appointed to complete stage one works, but went into voluntary liquidation more than a year ago.
The liquidator has informed council its handling of the matter won't be completed until "mid to late 2020".

In response to Depan's demise, the council agreed to further consider payment to sub-contractors involved in the redevelopment project outside of the Depan Group contract and post liquidation.
The possibility of council compensating out of pocket sub-contractors was raised during last year's federal election campaign.
The total amount of unsecured creditor claims including those who worked on Lavington is estimated at $875,094, according to the liquidator.
