The lucky punter had $34 remaining in his account and decided to invest the lot on the Flemington quaddie.
After studying the form he settled on a 4x3x4x4 combination and hit the multiplier which gave him an extra 10 per cent of any potential winnings.

"I only had $34 left and when I take a quaddie I just pick out the horses that have the best form over the distance," he said.
"So I had nearly 18 per cent of the dividend.
"The first winner paid $11.90 and I couldn't believe it when the second leg paid $54.20 and I had it.
"I was still alive after the third leg paid $11.20.
"I didn't even watch the last leg because I had to go and help my son sell his car.
"I then checked my account and had $22,000 after the last leg paid $8.40 with the quaddie worth almost $114,000."
So what did the lucky punter do to celebrate?
"One of my mates was having a barbecue so I took a heap of drinks around and we didn't finish up until 3am on Sunday morning."
