An Albury man who found dozens of syringes at Lake Hume, including some which were uncapped, believes they were purposely dumped there.

Peter Bennett discovered at least 80 needles at The Pines on Sunday.
Others also reported finding syringes dumped on the Bethanga side of Lake Hume, and Mr Bennett believes there are probably more out there.
"I've been going out there for years," he said.
"There are enough places for people to dispose of them safely.
"It wasn't just a random one or two.
"There were at least 80 out there.
"Someone's done it deliberately."
Mr Bennett had been boating when he pulled in, with his dog Chopper nearly coming into contact with them.
He recovered the needles and took them to Albury hospital for disposal.
The incident is being treated as a council matter, not a police matter.
Council staff attended the area yesterday morning and found a further two needles.
"I'm sort of gobsmacked by the number of them out there," Mr Bennett said.
"I could walk into hospital with a bucket of syringes with no judgement, so why would someone stockpile them and dump them?
"I couldn't believe it when I saw it.
"I was pretty angry when I realised my dog could have been injured.
"I wanted to get as many as I could and dispose them in the right way so that no-one got injured."
The footage shows syringes on the shoreline and some floating in the water.

Mr Bennett said others had been walking around the area, close to where the needles were found.
"I went out there to clean up and stopped a bloke taking his shoes and socks off to go into the water to get a ball for his dog," he said.
"He was only 20 or 30 metres away from where they were.
"It's really concerning."
Other people in the area at the time also recovered syringes, he said.
Some people had speculated that a sharps container may had been smashed open, but a NSW Police spokeswoman said there was no reports of that occurring.
Mr Bennett said the syringes had been found about 100 metres past The Pines area, towards Lake Hume resort.
It was unclear how long they had been there for before being discovered at the weekend.
Mr Bennett said it was unclear if any had been used.
