Border cheese producer Riverina Dairy is celebrating after winning multiple medals and managing to maintain staffing levels despite experiencing a reduced demand during the COVID-19 crisis.

Chief executive Franck Beaurain said the company was proud they had been able to keep staffing levels within a "normal range" throughout the COVID-19 crisis.
He said the company had implemented additional hygiene and social distancing measures during the coronavirus restrictions.
"We have managed through the latest COVID crisis relatively well due to the specialist nature of our business, we have been able to maintain a well controlled environment," he said.
"Despite the reduced demand in our food service business we are proud to have been able to keep our staffing levels within a normal range through the crisis, and trust this can continue."

Mr Beaurain said this week at the National Dairy Industry Association Awards the company took home gold awards for every category it entered including haloumi, fetta, blue cheese and yogurt. Overall, they won six gold awards and six silver medals.
Mr Beaurain said the achievement was testament to staff.
"It is a fantastic team effort," he said.
"I thank all of the staff at the Riverina Milk dairy in Corowa and in the Albury processing facility for helping to achieve these excellent results.
"We have spent the past three years focusing on quality and improving our knowledge to ensure the highest possible cheese-making capability...
"It is reassuring that the effort is paying off."
