Instead of visiting individual wineries, participants stayed home and joined in an online program of wine talks, masterclasses and live music.
Winemakers of Rutherglen executive officer Annalee Nolan said more than 1000 wine pack tickets were sold, with people tuning into the livestream from Victoria but also across Australia.
"Tim Campbell (the host) did an amazing job," she said.
"There were lots of people taking videos and photos and participating in the wine chats and TikTok challenges."

Seven friends meeting in Albury relished the chance to op shop for their 1980s-style power suits costumes.
Host Georgie Parker said at the 2019 Walkabout they dressed up as bikies.
"But we didn't quite look like we belonged on the back of a Harley-Davidson, more like a Vespa," she said with a laugh.
The group enjoyed last year's event, particularly praising the organisation and friendly staff, but also liked Saturday's plans to watch the livestream, taste various wines and stay put with fire pit and marshmallows.
As Melbourne's Brooke Vander Veer put it, "we don't expect to have any less fun".
