Clinical psychologist Andrew Fuller will present the free online live events organised by Peer Support Australia.

Chief executive of the not for profit group Greg Cantwell told The Border Mail talks had been originally organised in various NSW regional communities before the coronavirus restrictions changed those plans.

And the ongoing impact of the crisis could well be one of the issues raised.

"It started out as drought, then it went to bushfires and now of course pandemic," Mr Cantwell said.

"But of course, it's all the same sort of issues for kids in a way.

"It's all about managing change and Andrew's got this lovely idea that he describes resilience as that happy knack of being able to bungee jump through life.

"That's true, change is always around us, it's how we deal with it is the trick."

Some relatively easy actions by parents could make a difference.

"Something as simple as giving kids some down time and I wonder if that's what we've found during these times of isolation," the chief executive said.

"We've finally got some time just to be.

"(Andrew says) when we get busy again, we do need to lock in time to just be, not have anything structured and just enjoy the world around us."

Rituals like sharing a meal around a table were also important.

"It's that chance to come together and the reliance on no matter what changes, we still come together," Mr Cantwell said.

Peer Support Australia has been working with schools to help student well being for nearly 50 years, but more recently has also organised events for parents.

"We had almost a thousand people rock up in Albury one day," Mr Cantwell said.

"Six hundred at Orange, it was just phenomenal."

Two webinars have taken place, with another scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, at 7pm and seven more scheduled between June 16 and July 1. Each includes a presentation and the opportunity to raise queries.

"What's really nice is that capacity for people to engage and to ask all those kinds of questions that we hope that they do," Mr Cantwell said.
