Matt Andrew Shir, 38, is facing five charges after allegedly targeting Rose Jacobs on January 10.
It's alleged he broke into her property in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, assaulted her, and damaged her property.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Charges include aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence, assault, and destroy or damage property.
He is also facing a stalking charge and an intervention order is before the court.
Shir, who was a three-time best and fairest winner at Wodonga, was bailed after his arrest and recently returned to a Sydney court where his bail was continued.
The matter will return to the court on July 30.
