Police on Tuesday confirmed a 65-year-old man was found dead inside after the blaze was extinguished.
Nearby residents were unaware on Tuesday morning that a man had died during the incident.

Distressed family members visited the scene on Tuesday and spoke to emergency workers as police and Fire and Rescue NSW investigators examined the property.
A golden Labrador used to detect accelerants was used.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The matter is being investigated by the arson squad, but police said there was nothing to suggest the fire was suspicious.
"To find someone who has perished in a burning building is a horrible thing," Detective Acting Inspector Chris Wallace said.
"It's horrible for the poor person's family.
"It's a tragedy."
Thick grey smoke could be seen pouring from the front of the home on Monday.
Fire and Rescue NSW Superintendent Stewart Alexander said the home had been well alight when firefighters arrived.
"When firefighters arrived we did make entry to determine if anybody was in there," he said.
"Given the intensity of that fire - we believe it had been burning for a little while - it was a very, very difficult operation."
About 20 firefighters attended and stopped the fire spreading to nearby homes.
"We're still investigating the cause and origin of the fire," Detective Acting Inspector Wallace said.
"We're requesting anyone with any information come forward if they've seen anything in the street.
"We don't believe at this stage it's suspicious in any way, but we're trying to establish how that fire has started and how the person inside has come to be deceased."
A nearby resident said Mr Peters was retired and was always keen to have a chat with him.
The man said Mr Peters had left his home on Monday morning and he hadn't seen him since.
