A terrified Lavington woman had to call on her son for support when a drunken neighbour told her he'd "put a bullet in your head".

The woman didn't know that Peter John Guy didn't own any firearms.
But the threat was so real and Guy's behaviour earlier that evening so concerning that police had to repeatedly attend the Kemp Street units.

The 65-year-old nodded his head as magistrate Richard Funston warned him of the consequences of failing to do something about his drinking.
It was this that resulted in him pleading guilty in Albury Local Court to a single charge of stalking or intimidation over the recent event.
"I have no doubt alcohol's been the major factor that's caused this," he said.
"That would have been very frightening for this lady.
"She would have been in real fear."
The court was told Guy was leaving Albury and so would no longer present any threat to the victim.
But Mr Funston said that would not stop Guy committing the same type of offence the next time he had a bellyful of booze under his belt.
Unless he addressed his alcoholism, "this will just happen in the next town".
The victim called triple zero just after 9pm, with the accused's yelling clearly heard in the background.
At 9.50pm, a neighbour reported that Guy was continuing to bang on a door.
Police arrived at 10.15pm and spoke to the victim, who was "very scared" of Guy and so had contacted her son.
Guy was "heavily intoxicated" and denied hitting the door.
"The accused stated he was angry about a mattress that was in the back of the victim's son's ute and parked at the front of the unit block."
Police received two more calls at 11.30pm after Guy made his "bullet" threat.
Guy was fined $500.
