Former Myrtleford and St Pats best and fairest winner Chris Mitchell has been appointed coordinator of the club's Bright Red SAP program.
The award-winning journalist has recently begun studying to become a PE teacher and is excited to get back into coaching.
"I think it's a nice fit for myself and the club and hopefully it can lead to bigger and better things," Mitchell said.

"I'm keen to get into it and I'm sure the kids are all pretty excited about being able to kick a ball around again.
"There's been a buzz around the club already even though we've only been back at training a short time. It's a really good atmosphere down there."
One of Mitchell's goals is to continue to develop the relationship between Murray and the AWFA clubs.
"That's a big part of Murray's success if they can come and go from AWFA clubs, it's going to benefit the players in the region," he said.
"We're so lucky to have a club like Murray to really showcase their talent and improve under qualified coaches."
The club will run free come and try sessions on Wednesday (June 24 ) and July 1, before the program officially commences on July 20.
Mitchell has also joined the Murray United board.
