The seven-year-old gelding again received no favours with the draw (barrier 13), but has grabbed two placings despite starting wide in all but the first of his seven starts this campaign at Albury back in March.
A impressive trial performance at Albury on Monday has Davison bullish about his chances in the Winter Sprint (1000m).
"He's put in a couple of enormous runs over at Moruya and there was another one at Wagga he went super in," Davison said.

"He'll be very competitive. He loves the wet tracks.
"We freshened him up after his last start after a little issue and he trialled well on Monday, so he'll be very competitive in the race."
Vinnie Vega last tasted victory at Albury in January 2018, but only raced once in an 18-month period as he overcame some setbacks.
"He can roll forward if we want him to, but with wide gates we've been going back," Davison added.
"With rain forecast we'll see how the track is playing and work out which way we go from there."
Rocky High also features for Davison in a benchmark 58 handicap (1200m), but is yet to find his best this preparation.
"He's a horse that has a mind of his own," he said.
"He hasn't got the best of records at Wagga, I think he's had eight or nine runs and hasn't really done much, but when you get a run you don't miss them.
"We're just hoping for the best with him."
