The Man Walk aims to strengthen connections and combat social isolation by encouraging men to walk, talk and support.
Albury-Wodonga volunteer Jason Sunde hosts three walks of between 45 to 60 minutes a week, two in Wodonga, one in Albury, where men can just turn up and join in.
"It just supports men's mateship and getting together, meeting new people," he said.
"It also builds community as well, I feel, and if the guys wish to talk - they don't have to, obviously - but any support is there with the other people who come along too."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Started in Kiama in 2018, The Man Walk now has about 68 active walks throughout Australia as well as Canada and Britain.
Mr Sunde heard about the concept a year ago at a time he was working through some challenges in his own life.
"It just came up and I thought, it fits in with me well," he said.
His fellow walkers have been small in number so far, with Member for Benambra Bill Tilley joining Tuesday's Wodonga event.
One participant told the organiser he didn't have many friends and tended not to go out anywhere.
"I was quite blown away by that because here he is, he's out with The Man Walk meeting new guys and getting out and I thought that was really awesome," Mr Sunde said.
