His passenger Peter Turner, 77, also died in the crash.
His family have asked that donations be made to the Black Dog Institute in lieu of flowers.
Mr Drummond started Drummond Motor Sport in 1985 and focused on designing and making shock absorbers for rally cars.
He retired last November and was testing the Holden to ensure it met Australian standards at the time of the crash.
