It follows the league's decision on Wednesday to scrap a football competition this year due to the growing threat of the coronavirus.
Clubs met with the association on Thursday night to discuss the possibility of having a stand alone netball competition, where it became clear clubs did not see it as a viable option.
A survey had been established to gauge the level of interest in proceeding with a competition, as well as whether juniors should still have an opportunity to play this year.
TDNA president Judy Loorham said while there would be no senior netball, the league is still committed to offering some form of opportunity for it's under-13, under-15 and under-17 players in the coming months.
"Feedback from clubs and from members was that it was going to be impracticable to start a season," Loorham said.
"We're still committed to trying to run a modified junior competition, but at this stage we're not sure what that's going to look like just yet.
"We had a really large contingent of people who filled out the survey and it helped us with what our members felt.

"A lot of members had already made alternative arrangements, much the same as footballers who had not played in so long."
However, Loorham added there was support and backing from the league's members and parents in conducting a junior competition.
This year was supposed to mark the first under-17's competition.
"There was certainly a lot of support from the senior girls to see juniors play," she said.
"Juniors just want to get out and play."
Loorham added that clubs were relieved to finally have a decision after months of monitoring the coronavirus situation and government restrictions.
The association will now look into possible alternatives for it's young players in the coming weeks under the guidance of Netball Victoria and the Victorian government.
At this stage the aim is to start in mid to late July.
It comes a day after the Ovens and Murray league announced it would be cancelling all senior netball and football this year.
Like the TDNA, the O and M is also committed to seeing junior netballers return to the court this season.
